# Abuse and data privacy contacts

## Legal information

Recap Time Squad is a fiscally-sponsored open-source multi-project/umbrella organization under [The Hack Foundation](https://the.hackfoundation.org/) (d.b.a [Hack Club](https://hackclub.com/)), a US 501(c)(3) non-profit with EIN `81-2908499`. [Andrei Jiroh Halili](https://andreijiroh.dev/), a natural-born Filipino citizen and Philippine resident, is our SABDFL (self-assigned benevolent dictator for life) and lead maintainer for projects under the organization and primary contact with the fiscal sponsor's operations team.

## General abuse reports

For regular abuse reports (general or service/API-specific ToS, legal takedown requests), email `abuse@recaptime.dev` with links and file attachments (if it is too large for email, links to file-based evidence are also enough) as evidence.

## Code of conduct violations

For cases involving code of conduct violations in our technical and community spaces, you may reach out to our code of conduct support at `conduct@recaptime.dev` and it will be routed to our internal GitLab issue tracker focused on reports of misconduct.

Community moderators and maintainers outside of Recap Time Squad HQ can also email us through the address to coordinate moderation actions and appeals.

## Intellectual property (IP) takedown reports

For takedown reports involving possible copyright and trademark-related issues (both under the copyright laws in the US and the Philippines), please email them to `copyright@recaptime.dev` with the following:

* Your legal name
* Name of the rights holder or its authorized agent, alongside contact details such as email address, phone number and mailing address
* Description of original work and links to infringing content
* [512(f) acknowledgment, Good faith belief, Authority to act](#user-content-fn-1)[^1] (type "I attest, that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in this report is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; AND that, under penalty of perjury, you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner; AND you understand, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), you may be liable for any damages, including costs and attorneys' fees, if you knowingly materially misrepresent reported material. Checking this box also confirms that you have a bona fide belief that the information and allegations contained in this report are accurate and complete, for purposes of the Digital Services Act.")
* Your legal name again as a digital signature

You can also opt to submit a copyright or takedown takedown request via the [Cloudflare abuse report form](https://abuse.cloudflare.com/dmca).

Please note that we may publish your report alongside our response and actions taken on our own transparency reports, alongside being shared with third parties such as [Lumen Database](https://lumendatabase.org/). You should know that copyright/trademark takedown reports should not be used as a censorship tool to silence criticism and speech, nor block valid reuse under existing fair use and fair dealing laws.
